Phase III Round II Award Recipients Announced

The Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund is pleased to announce the grant recipients for Phase III Round II of funding. During this round of funding, the Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund is granting $143,150 to 22 Brazos Valley small businesses to assist with payroll or rent.
The Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund has raised over $1,208,352 through local businesses and philanthropic donors. The City of Bryan has also donated a $500,000 match for organizations operating in Bryan city limits.

As of June 1, the Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund has granted a total of $1,181,228 to 12 nonprofits and 114 small businesses impacted by COVID-19 response and containment efforts. For a full list of grant recipients, visit uwbv.org/covid19.

The review committee is pleased to have been able to reach so many nonprofits and small businesses. While the Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund will continue to accept donations, the remaining funds and any future funds raised will be distributed to Brazos Valley nonprofits serving residents impacted by COVID-19.

This grant funding is designed to help existing nonprofit organizations and small businesses. Individuals needing assistance as a result of COVID-19 response efforts can contact 2-1-1 Texas, by dialing 2-1-1 or by visiting 211texas.org, to receive referrals to nonprofit organizations who have received a grant from the Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund.
The goal of the Brazos Valley COVID-19 Community Relief Fund is to provide funds to nonprofits for assistance measures such as food, rent and utility relief for residents along with small business relief as the community follows social distancing and isolation measures to curb the spread of the illness within the community. Small businesses could apply for payroll assistance programs with these funds to help keep workers employed.
