The countdown is on! This Thursday, May 15, the Brazos Valley Live Music Association (BVLMA) is officially kicking off its mission to grow and support live music in the region with an unforgettable evening: Music in the Moonlight.
Held under the open sky at Lake Walk in Bryan, the night will feature a steak dinner from J. Cody’s, a cocktail hour featuring a special performance by the Brazos Valley Youth String Chamber Orchestra, showcasing young local talent and setting a beautiful tone for the night ahead. That will be followed up with performances from a stellar lineup of singer-songwriters, including 3 Aggies: Dub Miller, Molly McDonald, and Charlie McCabe along with Lucas Jagneaux and Django Walker.
“We’ve been working behind the scenes for months to build something that will truly support live music in this region,” said Adam Drake, co-founder of BVLMA. “Music in the Moonlight is our first chance to show the public what’s possible when a community rallies behind its artists.”
The Brazos Valley Live Music Association is led by board members Jerrod Lane, Adam Drake, and Toby Pipes, with the shared goal of turning Bryan–College Station and the surrounding areas into a hub for original live music. From backyard shows to main stages, the organization is building resources, relationships, and opportunities for local artists, venues, and fans alike.
“Music in the Moonlight isn’t just a concert,” added board member Jerrod Lane. “It’s a signal that live music is alive and well in the Brazos Valley — and it’s growing.”
