Great American Shoot-Out presents
Bryan/College Station GASO June 7-9, 2019 Bryan, Texas
Texas high school summer basketball tournament circuit Great American Shoot-Out will host 152 teams over three days of competition at nine different sites (20 courts) in College Station, June 7 through 9. 20 teams from grades 6th through 8th will participate along with 132 teams in the high school divisions.
Larry Sowell-Runs the Defenders Basketball Program out of Houston: “We always play in the GASO tournaments because Sam and Blue do a great job of promoting our kids. The GASO tournaments are always of high quality with top notch competition, plenty of exposure with scouts from all over the country.”
Six different divisions ranging from 6th grade through graduating seniors, including NIT, NCAA, and NBA divisions, will showcase their talents.
Greg Gober-Head Coach Texas Titans: “I like to play in the GASO tournaments because they are flexible, well organized and we can play teams that are very competitive.” Great American Shoot-Out/Texas Hoops also offers a recruiting service which ranks players throughout the state for each grade level. Over 200 college coaches receive the service each month. Bryan/College Station GASO is the place to be for summer basketball action this weekend.
For 32 years, Texas Hoops has been running the GASO tournaments. This is the 21st year, that the Great American Shoot-Out (GASO) has been held in Bryan/College Station. The organization was founded in 1988 by Mike Kunstadt.
Tommy Thomas-Former N.B.A. Agent and Former Head Coach at The Colony High School: “It’s a great opportunity for college coaches and players to come together in a competitive environment. No telling how many kids have been given the chance for a college education because of the exposure they received at the GASO tournaments.”
