Brazos Valley Worldfest & Family Festifall Started Oct 19

Brazos Valley Worldfest, the Downtown Bryan Association, and Destination Bryan have partnered to present Brazos Valley Worldfest and Family Festifall happening virtually the week of October 19-24. This virtual event kicks off and promotes and celebrates the international diversity and heritage of the Brazos Valley and provides children and families a week of virtual literary, science and art activities. Participating virtual exhibits provided by Texas A&M student organizations, community organizations and businesses provide educational, information and performance videos that will showcase music, dance, science, agriculture, and art.
In addition, there will be live stream performances as well as the International Candy Shop and Culture and Craft Bag pick up in Downtown Bryan on Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
New this year, is an International Restaurant Passport that goes through October 25. Multiple restaurants in Bryan-College Station are highlighting international cuisine and some are offering specials. “Although this year has brought additional challenges, we knew we did not want to cancel our programs,” states Kim Fox manager, Brazos Valley Worldfest. “We are excited about the new opportunities it offers to partner with Family Festifall, create new activities such as the Restaurant Passport and our World Explorer Virtual Walk, and to share our outreach mission virtually.”
Over 40 virtual exhibits can be viewed all week long on the Brazos Valley Worldfest website and social media. Live performances will be streamed on the Brazos Valley Worldfest Youtube channel on Saturday, October 24 starting at 10 a.m. Schedule of live performances includes:
10:15 a.m. – Snook SPJST Youth Lodge #9 Czech Dance Group
10:30 a.m. – African Safari Storyteller Program
11:15 a.m. – Great Promise of American Indians
12:30 p.m. – A’Lante Flamenco Dance and Music
1:15 p.m. – African Safari Storyteller Program
2:00 p.m. – Keyun & The Zydeco Masters
