The 2024 wedding season promises to add some feminine flare and whimsical touches. Brides are taking big steps to break out of the norm. We will still be seeing a lot of the classic wedding vibes, but these are some new – and exciting, we might add – trends we should see this year!
Bright & Bold Color Schemes
We are seeing a lot of bold patterns and a lot more color for 2024 – Splashes of color from pink to oranges, blues, and even lavender/purples. Brides are getting much more adventurous when it comes to designing their wedding, as we saw a lot of classic, white weddings in 2023 with the occasional pop of color for contrast. In 2024, they are breaking away from using color as only an accent tone. Color will be used in linens, stationery, bridal party attire, and especially floral.
Statement Veils
(or other garment accents) – We will be seeing extravagant and dramatic veils. The more dramatic, the better. Floral embellished, embroidered, and even veils with real floral attached will be at the forefront of bridal fashion.
Statement Signage
In 2024, signage just keeps getting bigger and better! Brides are exploring different ways to personalize their weddings, and signage is one area that lets their personality shine – from grand seating charts and welcome signs to customized bar signs.
Bows
Whether you love or hate them, these are here to stay and will permeate almost every aspect of the wedding day in 2024 if a bride opts for this element. We are seeing bows on wedding dresses, bridal hair accessories, a theme for bachelorette parties (tie the knot), cake adornments, shoes, and place settings – literally everywhere. 2023 pearls, meet 2024 bows!
Textured Cakes
Vintage cakes are making a comeback with pleated, lace, ruffles, and dramatic piping. Your cake baker will be throwing it back to the early 2000’s with their skills.
Digital Everything
Imagine reliving your special day with the ability to revisit heartfelt photos, engaging videos, and touching audio messages, all weaving together the narrative of the day you shared. Digital guest books have gained extreme popularity over traditional guest books. Adding to the age of media – Content Creators are becoming a consistent vendor selection as brides want their day captured and posted in real-time with viral sounds, dances, and trends.
Non-Wedding Weddings
Brides are opting to eliminate stuffy traditions such as the bouquet and garter toss. They want less structured moments and more time to spend celebrating with their guests. Simplicity in the day is their desire. They are also opting to have smaller bridal parties or no party at all to keep the focus on themselves as the newly married couple. This might be our favorite trend of 2024, and we hope it is here to stay!
