Savannah + Kirby
Our love story started in 2013. We met in college, obtained our Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in photography, and fell in love. Not long after graduation, we got engaged on Thanksgiving of 2016. The proposal was intimate and so incredibly special. We gathered in a circle with our family to share the reasons we are thankful. Kirby was last and started his speech with how thankful he was for me. He then got down on one knee and proposed. Being surrounded by our family and close friends as we entered the next chapter meant so much.
Our engagement lasted for six months before saying, “I DO” in May of 2017. Our wedding took place at, The Chandelier Room, and we were lucky enough to be their first wedding. The wedding had an elegant boho look, filled with lots of gold accents, Persian rugs, lanterns, peonies, and, of course, succulents. The primary colors for our special day were, sage, navy, and blush. We celebrated with all our closest friends and family, and what made it even more special was my uncle officiated our wedding.
Carolyn, and her team, at Sweet Tea & Linen, were our coordinators for the day and were unbelievable! They made our vision come to life by pouring their hearts into our wedding; we will forever be grateful for their grace and hearts of service.
Andrea, at The Sweet Tooth, captured my love for gold by incorporating it in all the desserts. I was so pleased with her attention to detail. A bonus was, the desserts tasted as amazing as they looked! Granted, we only had time for our piece of cake, but our guests raved about them. Elizabeth, at Petal Patch Florist, understood my love for flower crowns and peonies. She made all the flowers for my wedding look stunning.
We couldn’t have had our wedding look as beautiful without any of these vendors. It was a bit of a risk and a little scary, as we were Chandelier Room’s, first couple to say “I do.” Patty and her team at The Chandelier Room pulled it all together. Patty was patient, full of energy and love to make our wedding everything we wanted. We cannot thank our amazing vendors enough for their continuous love and support.
Now, almost two years later, as our love continues to grow; we are pursuing our passions. After the wedding, we decided to officially launch our own wedding cinematography business. Through this, we can glorify our heavenly father, Jesus Christ, and create art through other couples love stories.
We created Five20Films, out of pure love, and named it after our wedding date. Filming weddings remind us of our special day, and we are so happy to help other couples capture these moments.
